What picture comes to mind when you think of a robot? Draw it!. Some 100 schoolkids took up this challenge, devised by a research team from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI-DFA). The result was a series of imaginative drawings that the team divided into three categories named after famous robots from films: rectangular humanoids (Wall-E’, left), round humanoids (Eve’, centre) and non-humanoids (HAL’, right). The aim of the project is to help kids learn more about robots and understand them better
